Encore 36" WB used price?

A nearby LCO went out of business and has a 2003 Encore 36" WB for sale. Apparently they managed to blow the engine somehow and replaced it which has about 50 hours on new engine. It is a belt drive and I was just wondering what this mower may be worth. They are wanting $800.00 but I should be able to talk them down some. I haven't seen the mower yet nor do I know what kind of engine is on it now. Also is this a good mower? Anyone have experience with one? Thanks!

I have a 36 Encore with a 14 HP Kaw on it. Its a hydro though. But its about 10 years old and going to strong. Ive only had to replace one pulley on it in 5 years.

I think 800 is fair espescially if it has a new motor. Just make sure its at least 14 HP. Take it to a dealer and have him check it out for you.

I went and checked out this mower the other day. It has a new 10.5 B&S engine on it and everything else looks to be in great shape. I am going to do a test demo before long. The guy is going to hold it for me until I get my tax refund...lol. I assume the engine will be big enough.
