baseball infield grooming
I was wondering if anyone out there does little league baseball field cutting and grooming? Any recommendations on how much to charge? What tools/equipment should I use? I was thinking about making a dragger to pull behind my exmark zero turn to groom the infields, is this a good idea? What height should I cut at? I was thinkin' 1.5". Any advice on putting the lines down too. Thanks,
Jake

I've worked on little league fields the past 4 years. You should be able to drag behind the zero turn with no problem. I'd charge double what you charge for a regular cut because it's only a small field. You should put down the lines it's not that hard make sure if you use paint use water based material.
Try looking at theses sites for help too: http://www.athleticturf.net/athleticturf/ http://www.diamondpro.com/how2.html Good luck, Ryan
