z-Spray owners

few questions
i been a perm a green owner since 1998 or so..
thinking about getting the Intermediate

with the perm there is no boom with the z there is an 8' boom

i can zip in and out tree lines, fence gates,ect...
is it hard to get used to the boom?
what if i smack a tree will it break off?

i am used to the perm rack. now i would need a trailer..
is it a pain with a trailer?

i am interested in spraying tal star,Bayleton, manage, drive and broad-leaf weed control.

what have you guys used with good results and with bad results ?

it seems there are many nozzle choices. what nozzles did you get or recommend?

what else did i miss?
thanks,
ant

the boom is a break away and comes in three sections. if you hit a tree the section you hit with will fold back to the machine. The trailer thing is not my favorite thing, we have 200 gallon space saver in truck and need the trailer to haul fert and the z in. As far as nozzles, i'm still working on using different ones myself. have just been using the factory ones for now,

Just go buy one already, talk yourself into it LOL I also had concerns with the boom but the breakaway feature put those concerns to rest.

I have posted on the Z before so you know I haven't "broke" mine in yet (maybe in a week or two) I see the boom as being effective on my larger wide open props, and when applying on smaller more condensed props possibly folding the boom and running only the center sprayers? Anyway thats just a thought, I will be trying out on my own yard (2 acres with many trees and plant beds) soon enough with some water in the tank to see how it runs out.

Can't answer about the products you are using, but was assured that Strike Three w/ Quicksilver would work fine and I believe the Drive was o.k.'d for use as well, I'm not sure but thought they recommended mixing Drive thoroughly in a separate tank before filling the Z?

Keep us updated on your decision and good luck
