Not sure if this helps but I bought a 2002 chevy cab over dump in mass last year with a 10' dump. I think the gvw is only 12.5k though. It had 18k miles and I bought it for 18k. I think I got a good deal though. I love the truck.

you think anything under $17,500 is a good deal? Saw a 95 w/ 130k miles sell for 9-10k.

Are these good trucks? the gvw is greater then a one ton and it has a shorter wheelbase. I have also seen some of these truck with 200-300k miles.

the gvw is 14k, what is it for a f-450?

Plan on using the truck mostly for leaves, mulch, wood chips, not much loam but some, fire wood. anyone with experience w/ these trucks please provide some input. thanks.

I haul mostly mulch with my truck. With the sides and custom tailgate I can hold 10 yards of mulch. Loam on the otherhand I have not hauled more than 3 yards although the hoist handled it fine I thought I may be pushing it as far as the payload was concerned. The truck has great manuverability and visibility. On rough roads it beats you up pretty bad though.

Got one with 12' dump. Great turning, manuvering truck. Not a heavy hauler. Great for mulch. Stone or dirt... plan on small amounts. I wouldn't be without mine.
