I need to know what I need to do commerical businesses. I have done a business lawn for a guy for 5 yrs(he paid cash) and this year he sold the business this guy wants to write it off which I don't blame him. I talked to one LCO he told me to give him my SS#.That it was all I needed. I talked to another guy and he said I had to get a Service Vendor license. So what do I need to do commerical lawns as far as license and tax junk . I know your going to say get a CPA to help but I wanted to know what you guys thought about this subject. Thanks

All you have to do is get an occupational lisence if you dont already have one, and at the end of the year he gives you a 1099, for what reason i have no idea, becuase if you give him a bill and record the payment then its taken care of.
