Customers can save money by hiring a guy that bills less then $5,000 per year

Sales and Use Tax.
What states require you to charge tax for your services?
Do you know what services are and which are not?
Do you know the requirements?

In Ohio if your billable sales are less then $5,000.00 per year you do not have to file as a service provider.

what good is that

if you are making less the 5000, how are you going to eat....and if you read more carefully(if it is reasonable that your company will make more then 5000 for the year, you must start collecting the tax at the beginning of the year)

no i understand. but would it benefit a guy with a $25 lawn to go with a part time, afterwork/weekends guy? $25 x 32 weeks x 6.25 tax = $50 per year. Maybe not enough in this scenario. I certainly do not mean for me to try to stay under $5000 as a way to obtain business. But if I was a p/t guy I might use it. Never mind, the more I think of it that only gives you 6.25 lawns at $25 x 32 (with that work only).
