Modifications to Increase Durability on Walker/25hpKohler Q&a

Hello, I am writing to discover any improvements people may have done to this machine combination W/K . Your ideas would be appreciated.Due to a few issues over the years I have carried out some to ensure my bussiness /machine reliability.Listed as follows 1/oil cooller with thermostat and electronics package 4 fan control. Reduces temp by 15-18celsius. OIL temp on a 35cel hot day is 118-122 with large deck & mulch under max workable load . Fan is set to cycle 105-100.Oil temp reduced there4 lasts longer or same service interval eg 50 hrs but in a better condition . Engine protection would be improved as a result. My engine previously was cooking the oil at 50hrs.HaHa Oil used currently is 10/40 SM rated semi synthetic. 2/Weld a tubular extension to the quick release coupling which inturn gives better support for the yoke and drive depending on attachment method either cross drilling & dowling or grub screws to PTO shaft. Five years later its still working!! 3/ Stainless steel inlet tube . Due to my open trailer surface rust was present inside and there 4 into the airfilter/engine . 4/Foam/oiled air filter [replacesfactory kohler]It works as oil changes colour navy blue to greyblack.Yes the donaldson filter assembly is instaalled also. 5/water proof push button starter switch and ignition toggle sw. 6/better typing skills CAUTION not all of these mods r 4 every body certain areas require specialist tools & knowledge ,applications also vary. THANKS TOMO

I think you Australians are a bit more clever than us Americans. Sounds like some great improvements.
