the real fun was on Ditch Witch 1010 walk behind trenchers, with a recoil start. the trencher clutch and neutral switch were real picky, they could be disengaged but still be open. you could pull the rope til your arm fell off. i always carried a spark tester with me, as well as tape to hold the dead man swithches down.

I know all about them, But what about that sorry magnetic neutral switch on the 1820 ? Boy are they a pain in the Azz to adjust and they last no time. I just installed the third one on ours.

Good call Rob. I was thinking in the lines of low battery, but as with any mower, if the blade switch is engaged, they won't start. It's a "safety feature".
