How much fill do I need

I need help figuring how much fill I need to fill in a down grade section on a lawn that I will be building a retaining wall to hold in materials the size is 12' by 36' and I need it to be 5' deep, so I have 432sf, I will be filling with sand and a 3 inch top layer with top soil. Any help would be great

12' x 36' x 5' =2160 square ft.

2160 cubic ft divided by 27 would be 80 yards of fill. It will compact some so you should figure on a little extra.
The loam would be 432 ft divided by 108 which = 4 yards of fill.

add 15-20% for compaction, but make sure you stay three feet from the wall when using equipment, Topside of wall
dont forget your drainage aggregate or slotted pipe.
