2-cycle problem

I've got a 2-cycle Toro. It's been mowing great for the past few weeks. Yesterday I went to start it and my arm about got ripped off. The pull-cord would barely budge. I pulled the plug and the cord pulled fine. Put plug back in and same problem as before. The plug is new this season, but I've been running the machine for 4 weeks with it just fine. Any suggestions? OOps, I'm new to this site. I didn;t mean to post here!
