how much to charge per hour

I am 16 years old and do various landscaping and tree work. I do not do any mowing mostly landscape construction. rake leaves, mulching and pine straw. I was curious as to what to charge to do this. I know the more laborous stuff should cost more, but what is reasonable.

I think with you only being 16, you will find that people will not want to pay you as much as they should for the job.
I am happy making 40.00 an hour, even happier with 50.00 An hour.

I agree 40-50 per hour is a good start until you are used to pricing jobs.

I would be happy to charge $40-$50 also but unfortunately they only pay $25 in our area.

at 16 even doing top notch work you will never get 40-50. You can start increasing price as you grow but youll be lucky if you can start at 25-30

I think $12.00 to 17.00 an hour is a good wage for your age.But you really need to charge by the job not the hour to make any decient money.Say you have a mulch job that is straightforward not alot of obsticals and the mulch is close and easy to get to the beds..a basic home just foundation beds in front.
You could do the whole thing in an hour..you gonna only charge $25.00 or $17.00 for that job?
No your gonna charge $75.00...see what I mean?

Well Let Me Say This You Have To Bag It Or Haul It Off Right Plus Clean Up After Words If Your Not Making 350-550.00 Per Job You Not Making Money If You Working By Your Self If You Have Helper Or 2 You Need To Charge 550-650.00 Remember People Dont Want To Do It Or They Would Not Have Called You. And With The Price Of Gas Materials Supplies Its Worth It. Good Luck Ok

Starting at a young age, I began doing jobs being quite happy making low wages as they are what I would have been getting elsewhere, but I learned that just because you are young, the work is the same. Depending on the area and work, I wouldn't go lower than $20/hr. Make sure when talking to clients, present yourself as a professional, knowledgeable person and it will help a lot.
