I have a Wheel Horse Catalog with a 1987 copyright that has the 724-Z in it.
My guess would be 1987-1990?

I'm trying to get parts for this machine, but dealer can't figure out what it is. the only #'s on tag are 93-24Y1120E01 10009. the deck is a 38" #05-38SY01 it uses a belt #116666DF. also a tag on machine says Attach a Matic. I need parts for the left side drive, gears are trashed. any help out there? |

I believe that machine was actually built by Dixie Chopper for Toro. Give DC a call at their factory with your S/N info. They may have parts for it.

based on the deck model number, that is a 1990 machine.

I have a 1998 Toro 724-Z which was the last year they were made.
I have had it since New with 370 hrs on it. I love it too! Fast like the Dixie and cuts very good. Will lay down one beautiful stripe thats for sure. I used to have a 1986 WheelHorse 718-Z that used the model 600 hydro transmission which I liked better then the 700 in the 724 toro. The 86 Wheelhorse was faster about 11mph and alot more responsive in motion cause of the different pumps but there a little louder which is no big deal to me. I just sold the 86 wheelhorse 718-Z last year cause I bought a 2006 JD 757 Z-Trak which isnt as fast as neither one of the 724z or 718z, They lol mow better then the JD im my opinion too but the JD has a lower center of gravity for better control on banks. I used the 718-Z mostly all the time cause it was my oldest and I was saving on the hours being put on the 724-Z thats why I have a 11yr lawn mower that has 370hrs on it and its never been used commercially untill this year in 2009. Here is a picture of my 1998 724-Z with factory lights.

Try this for your model number: Z1-24OE03
Just added a dash and changed a 0 to an O. Appears to be a 1990 model. |
