Mine does this on one or two of my jobs that are really long and thick. No problems on other properties. I figured it was just the type of grass or something.Blades were sharp.

Let us know what you find out because there must be a certain problem with a select few mowers, mine cuts everything it runs over.

I don't have a XR-7 deck, but this happens to me when my deck packs up with grass.Only the circles where the blades turn and the discharge chute remain open, everything else is covered to a depth of 2"-3"with grass.

I have a xr-7 deck also. I experienced the same problem that you described. I discovered that two of the three blades were in time (cutting at the same time). I manually turned one of the two blades so they had alternating cutting times. This took care of the streaking issue. I spoke to my dealer who in turn talked to the distributor who recommended removing the two air baffles. Hope this suggestion helps!

Ok, after my hours of trying to make myself not believe it, I have come to the conclusion I cannot hide it from myself.

Our mower does this as well. Last week it left a streak of uncut grass on a few of our properties. I was however rolling while cutting. I double cut and dismissed it as cutting too fast. This week I was cutting the same lawns, I had my new husquvarna radio headset on and just relaxing listening to some country music, bust a turn and look to see the uncut streaks in two rows of cut swath. I was going very slow the area of lawn I was cutting was only about 40' so I could only go so fast.

So now as you can imagine we are sweating bullets. We specifically canceled an order for two Dixie Chopper mowers because we were hearing that they left streaks of grass, and we just didn't want to deal with it. So now seeing this problem on our new super z has us with weak stomachs.

Where do we go from here?
