There is no need to "time" your blades, this makes little to no difference at all in the cut.
Are you using Hustler blades? they should not hit each other at all.

One of the reasons I bought my hustler super WB 48" (which they have stopped making) was because it has more blade overlap than any other mower i lookied at. I have never had a problem with uncut grass where the blades overlap. Why the new decks went away from this I don't know.

Any news on what is causing the uncut strip of grass on the guys XR-7 decks. This seems very odd with the number of hours the decks went through supposedly testing for any of this type problem.

Engineering has worked on this almost around the clock and they have had excellent results in testing the resolution.
Should have some more info in the next dew days.

I mow a bunch of rough places and since the factory blades bend so easily, I have been using a left over Oregon Dixie Chopper notched high lift, 99 501, I think. Has been working pretty well.

PJ

Why did they go to less blade overlap than the older decks?

Duh!

I mean logic tells me that more blade overlap.and longer blades will leave less chance of uncut strips of grass. Hustler HAD this right. Any idea why the engineeres did away with this advantage on the NEW design?
It probably only safes about and inch in overall deck length.

What sized decks are doing this? The 60 or 66?
