Deleteing PMs

I have erased (so I thought) my PMs as I have read them by deleteing them. I have a memo that I have 83 old messages. When I look into the folders and try to find where they are current, old, sent or whatever, all I can find is the one (1) that I have been saving.

Can someone please shed some light on how to erase thosre that I thought had been deleted from memory so that I may receive more mail.

Thank you for any assistance shed on my ignorance of this system.

Did you try showing messages from the beginning (in the "show message from" menu)?

I had not changed the Jump To Folder to read Sent.
