Your right on that one Ric. I got in 2 clean ups and one mulch job yesterday while taking a break from the rain. While doing some billing this moring I looked back at last years records and I was in my 3rd week (2nd full blown week) of mowing by this time last year.

Yep...this is nuts...we also have a backlog of landscape projects that are getting delayed due to this mess...I wish the rain would just wait till Summer when we actually want it.

work back log
We are in the same position with the work back log. It is great to have the work. I have 1 condominuim property that threatened to get a new contractor, so I set up a meeting with them and I asked them to walk out in the yard and if they still wanted me to cut I would. I even brought out the equipment, knowing it would not leave the trailer, and asked them to make the call. They sunk to their ankles and said never mind cut it when it dries up. All they had to do was walk out in the yard and they would not have looked like fools. What ever happened to common sense?

And the rain keeps coming. Why not in July or August?
I looked at my invoices from last year. First cut day was about a week ago. I don't even think if it quits raining today we will be cutting for another week with the ground as saturated as it is. The ten day has rain in about half the days. |

I just spent 26/yard on triple ground dyed. That is high though. I usually spread double ground brown dyed.
