Correct Honda Break In Hours

Purchased a new Hustler with 16hp Honda V Twin GXV 530. What is the number of hours in your estimation required for break in with 10w30 conventional oil before the transition to synthetic? I have seen hour numbers all over the map from 50 hours down to 8 hours. How long will it take those rings to seat and engine brake in? Thanks for your help and assistance.

IMO As a Service Tech., I would run no less than 50 hrs. but would recommend 100 hrs. to be assured everything is broke in before switching.
Kohler Tech. support stated 50 to 100 hrs. for break-in on their engines.

I have been looking back over recent posts of late trying to find a link to a REALLY good article, IMHO, on synthetics. I have always just had a gut feeling that a lube specifically engineered for the purpose would out-perform conventional petroleum. I was not sure if the cost difference was a function of said superiority or simply because it cost more to produce.
Further, I have asked a couple dozen times why someone did or did not like synthetics and have never gotten a good answer; "Well my old car has run on Quakersnake just as his Grandfathers before him! Wouldn't use nuttin' else."
Well, someone posted a spot with a link to a 9 page article on why synthetics are so much better. Did anybody else catch it at autoeducation.com?
Does this sound solid to yous guys?
Another thing it covered was air and oil filtration efficiency. I liked all it had to say.

BOO HOO I just wanted to know if someone was willing to step up and slam this guy's purported findings, and if they could actually support _their_ claims enough to convince me.
