weed and dust jihad, we must contnue the fight!

Anyone else weary from the weed and dust jihad? It has not rained in sometime around here and the ground is like a washboard. They need to put shock absorbers on the new Honda commercials. It seems like the weeds are a little bit more up to the fight this year. Anytime I need to sneeze I blow out mud pies because the dang dust is sooooo bad. I know I am whining just curious if anyone else is weary from the battle.

I would prefer the word "CRUSADE" instead of "jihad"

It seems to be that the south is the only place not really having problems with drought/dust/dead/dormant grass.

Yeah, I hear that word all the time and was using it in a mocking way. I know that may offend any people that are overly pc or terrorists who read this. I was thinking of the "struggle" I am having with the dust and weeds and I felt it fit right in there with the other slime on the ground. (weeds)

You title is the only reason I replied to anything on this site. That was funny. Word up fellow Nwsterner. I am in Seatown and it has not rained all summer. Everything is viagra hard around here, unless it is irrigated.

Has to be the dryest and warmest summer I can recall in my life around these parts. I did spend a few years in AZ playing baseball and that was damn hot & dry!

I think the whole country is experiencing sometype of drought conditions this yr. I know here in my neck of the woods we are going on round 2 for drought conditions. I think we are aprox 26" below norm for this time of yr. It could be more. We are in a holding pattern for now.

personally, i like the huge black boogers at the end of the day. lets you know you have done something. j/k. i envy floridians and their daily rain (until i see them get pounded by like 6 hurricanes in a month)

They are already talking about El nino for winter which means dryer and warmer for us, but wetter for the south (Florida andTexas as well?) who knows! I don't know how they can predict that far ahead when they cant even predict this weeks weather right half the time. I think they have this little spin wheel in the back of the weather office with different weather for each day and when they spin it what ever it lands on that will be the forcast.
Maybe they even use the magic 8 ball for all we know. I always have said its all about the ratings!
