Which Topcon Laser level?

I want to get a new laser level and have narrowed it down to these two Topcons, RL-H3CS with single slope feature or the Topcon RL-H3CL. I can't decide on which. Those that have these units, how do they perform? Also, is the slope feature worth it? Thanks for any input.

We do and I saw your post and meant to check the model we have and was busy and forgetful all day. Ours is in need of some attention in the last month it has been knocked over by a rookie excavator operator, had the tripod crushed by our t300 and in these incidents lost some of the glass that protects the spinning head, having been through all that it is still accurate, having borrowed another unit from a friend just to be sure, I can say they're tough if nothing else. Has anyone ever sent one in for repairs? If so how is the turn around time?

Is that the model with the manual slope just up and down buttons or the model where you can enter slope in %?

I just looked at topcon website the model with the slope is not worth it. If you need slope you need to get the model with the display where you punch in the slope you need. If you need a general laser I would suggest Topcon RL-H3C Self Leveling General Construction Laser. I just bought my second one yesterday for 795.00 with tripod or grade rod. I have two and are great for just about any application. Also have a dual slope laser I use for pipe work.

Thanks for the replys and advise. I like the Topcon RL-H3CL. It is the same as the RL-H3C, but the RL-H3CL has more range. Was also looking at the Spectra LL400 and LL500. I am going to do more research this weekend and buy one next week.

Thanks Again
Rob
