Ive heard great things about the Redmax blowers...but man that Shindaiwa looks sweet doesnt it!! 224mph and just a really cool look to it. I read a review on the Shindaiwa in this months Turf Magazine...got great reviews. Maybe pick up the mag and read about it.

I was wondering the same thing...
I am looking for a bp blower but can't decide either. I was also considering the kawasaki. That shindaiwa really look sweet. And redmax are highly spoken of on this site. Which one really kicks butt? Looking for durability and reliablity as well as power, quietness, etc.

yea they both look good but i like that 224 mph. I priced both the redmax runs around $529. the shin runs $469.

notice the small tube diameter on the Shindaiwa in order to get the mph up to 224, they lose there cfm. Either the Redmax of the Stihl BR600

Redmax gets my official vote. I have one and wouldnt run anything else for a bp blower. All my handhelds are stihl except the blower.

My dealer has the Shindaiwa 8510 blower and the Redmax EBZ8000 blower. He says the Redmax is a way better and he's not a big fan of the C4 engine on the Shindaiwa. I thought that was interesting.

Let me tell'ya about those 4 jokes. It all happened back in 1998 with the Yamaha YZF 400. Oh they said the 4 stroke that obsoletes the 2 stroke. Well here is the gig on the 4 stroke stuff they are trying to get to compete with the 2 stroke stuff, any thing that goes wrong with the motor that is serious you throw the 4 stroke stuff away because the repairs are more than the units cost new. 4 strokes have there place but for some things like small lawn equipment they are bull$hit!
REDMAX 8000 trust me!

I don't think price is the reason my dealer made that observation. He's a good guy and very knowledgeable mechanic. He has just seen too many C4 Shindaiwa products come in for one repair or another. When I bought my trimmer from him last year, he steered me away from the Shindaiwa T2510 and to the T230 because too many of them came in for repairs.
