Killed some grass. Can it be fixed or just replaced?

Done a dumb thing last week. Washed a house & had to remove a couple of glass panes that covered the windows . Ususally they are screen covers. Anyway I laid them on the grass and left them till I got done & it was hot & the glass was a magnifying glass & killed the grass. Of course I did not know it then but was told about it this week.
I'm not sure what type of grass it is , but I think it is centipede. Definetly not bermuda or fescue. Anyway, can it be resurected or is new sod the only choice. It is 2 sections of dead grass about 2' X 5' each.

Thanks

I agree, just water. Saw the same thing happpen to my neighbor when they were remodeling their house. Laid some windows on their grass one afternoon. Next day, the grass was brown. About one week later, a little bit of green started coming through.
