I am considering buying the aerator from Grasshopper, and just wanted to know if anyone has one or used one.I am looking at the 60" model and my machines can handle it, the price is around $3824.00 new but I can get a $550.00 off it, I do alot of work and sales for the dealer I work with, so it would run $3274.00 + tax. Any comments will help.

I also thought about getting the grasshopper AERA-vator. For the 60", you need the factory installed hydraulic lift. For the 40", you need either the hydraulic or dealer installed electric lift. The price on the electric lift was something like $600-$700.

Thanks Bob, the 928 models come standard w/the lift but is optional on my 725 G2 mowers. The cost for me,list $995.00, sale price is $875.00, at the price I did consider trading one mower in on a 928 but the lift is alot cheaper.

I use the 60" pull behind Aera-vator and it's great! What a tool for doing lawn renovations!

Kirby, What does a 60" cost? And what requirements(HP) are needed to pull it?

Bob, it cost around $4200.00 and requires at least a 3 cylinder engine with PTO. Makes aerating a thing of the past (I wish), and rock hard ground, no problem.
