Redmax 8001 Worth it or Not?

Just out of curiousity, is the 8001's power that much greater then the 7001 that it is worth the extra weight and money? We personally have never used an 8001 yet, but have been told that there isn't that much of a noticeable difference. If you were dealing with thick or wet leaves maybe, but the added weight and price didn't make it worth it. What do you folks think? I have seen quite a few threads where people are talking them up.

That's a pretty good price. Have you got much use out of it yet?

We have a 8000 and love it. The power is unreal compared to any others that we have tried. On the 8001 they have changed a few things but looks almost the same. Tomorrow will be the first time using it because it just came yesterday.

actually I got it for $484.50, shipping included. Ebay
I would say its probably one of the best blowers on the market. I picked up a br600 10-26-06, used it for awhile, couple days, had more expectations for it, they never came thru. Had it checked all out etc, stihl bought it back, thank god.
