Tree disposal

A few years ago I put a small ad in the paper about picking trees up. At the time, our town had a burn ban, and the trash companies didn't pick up yard waste. I charged $10 a tree, and kept busy for a few days. It's definatly not a way to get rich, but it works well as advertising by getting your name out, and meeting potential clients. Besides, it's winter and it was something to help curb the boredom.

thats an awesome idea, I may try that. If I could get enough I could just rent a chipper and make free fill for my side yard.

Most people around here use the trash companies but after this year trash companies sent out letters saying they won't pick up any yard wastes including trees so it might be something to look into for next year.
