Rough start but still dreaming big
Hi, I am 19 years old and a freshman at Purdue University majoring in Landscape Architecture. I worked for a landscape contractor for 2 years in high school and started my own business this last spring. I started out with a bang, or rather a BUZZZZ, as I cut my kneecap with a chainsaw on a landscape job. Quickly after, one of my employees had a major hospitalizing reaction to a wasp sting. Later, the same employee popped both tires on one side of my gooseneck, which happened to be loaded with 2,000 pounds of mulch. Luckily this happed in the mulch yard of my old boss (it impressed him greatly...). He helped me re-attach a tire from the other side, which later resulted in a trailer with only two tires being stuck in the mud for a week in a clients front yard. This was all in the course of about 3 weeks. Basically, I am here to get as much help as I can. Safety, Company Structure, and Business Expansion. If you can help, or know others who can help, in any of these specific areas, please let me know.
Thank you, Landon Young, YOUNG LANDSCAPING |

Sounds like you need a little help!!!
Regaurdless, sounds like you have a start and have expereinced some definite DO NOT DO's, so you can improve from there. Keep at it and study had in school to learn the business. Try to apply what you learn as quickly as you can so that you can 1. Remember it. and 2. Take the prectical application to learn better ways to do it. This works with any subject. All of the school answers are not always the RIGHT answers. So, use the expereince of Prectical application and what you have learned from school to find the RIGHT way. You will do well....

Hey, I can help with the knee. Buy some chaps like I did after I buzzed mine with a hedgeclipper. 3 stitches and $950 not to mention a half day wasted.
