echo sudden death

My echo leaf blower was running like a champ, suddenly died. No sputter no nothing. Plug good but replaced any way. kill switch deactivated, no spark at all. pull the cord, sounds and acts like new but wont start. I believe it's getting fuel. any ideas??

Check the coil from spark plug wire to gnd on blower and see if it is open? Not sure what resistance you should measure. How old is the unit?

well since the kill switch is ruled out and you put a new plug on then it has to be the coil. how did you check for spark?

I found a nifty tool at Harbor Freight called an inline tester.
You plug one end onto the plug and the other end into the wire, then crank it and if there is spark, the tester lights up.

It's awesome, I will never do without one again, it was only a few dollars so I bought several
