lawnsite seems dead

there seems to be a very large # of people viewing but the posts seem to stay the same. the replies are very slow considering how many people are "viewing". it never used to be this way. what's up?

it seems like the # of people viewing is fudged or something ?????????????

The number of people viewing is the true number, there is nothing fudged about it. I normally check the statistics weekly, and there has not been much fluctuation in the posting. A little less in the off topic, give or take 100 posts, and slower on Thanksgiving day. Other than that, right in line as usual. With the holiday season fast approaching, things may be a little slower, but come January, you will see a real rise in the posts.

Everything seems to be the same statistically.... we had more people sign up today than we did yesterday, there were more threads started today than any day in the last 12 and there were more posts made so far today than any day in the past 9 so the site is definitely still alive and kicking as usual.... I would say that due to the amount of information at LawnSite nowadays, posting is not as necessary and reading can be just as beneficial since many issues, questions, problems have been discussed here many times. Plus being that today is "cyber monday" I'm sure there is plenty of shopping going on.....

I'm willing to place a bet on one member. I think I'll have to take a look at the thread at 12:01am on Jan 1st. Just no bumps. Bumps are bad.

whats wrong with bringing up an old thread? It makes for a very informative read and keeps the number of multiple threads of the same topic to a minimum. ReVisit Mini-Skidsteer is a great example of bumping a thread (well since someone is always posting on it maybe it isn't such a good example )

Or were just referring to the calender thread?
