Gravely mulching

I have a full mulch kit on a Gravely 144z with the included blades on it. I have noticed that it does not have the suction effect on leaves that my Exmark does when it's mulching. It tends to just leave many of them on the lawn while the Exmark sucks them up before spitting out dust back into the turf. Both mowers use the same size blade and mounting hole.

Has anyone tried changing blade types to get better leaf mulching ability with a gravely? The Exmark and Gravely mulching blade designs are very close visually. And gator type blades with very high sails will not clear the gravely mulch kit w/o striking, so they are out.
