BR 600 - How many have had broken plastic?

I am going to the dealer next week when he gets in some other parts. I told him I would find out how common of a problem this is. This is on the Stihl BR 600 ONLY

No problem with mine and I used to carry it around on an early model Trimmer Trap ST-2 blower rack. The early racks had no support for the bottom of the blower and it was known to break the handles off of the Stihl 4 mix blowers. I've since replaced the early ST-2 with the new ST-2 and it supports the bottom of the blower now.

Anyone had theirs covered by Stihl or did you foot the bill?

If it is the older backplate they will foot the bill. The newer one has the current changes that were made and no problems with it breaking.

Could have been older inventory. If it is cracked it should be taken care of by the dealer under warranty.

Mine cracked on about the top 1/3 of the backplate, Stihl replaced it cause it was only a couple of months old, the new one has not given any problems.
