New Website All Opinions Welcome

Hey guys!

Just wanted to get some opinions on my website....Please keep in mind it is a work in progress (all pictures are placeholders or have the 'coming soon' box), the resolution of certain pics and files is going to be updated as well, but I would love to hear what you think.

Just to let you know, be prepared! The colors are black and pink, but those are the colors of my company, as I am female. My business cards are similar in design. My take on the pink grass....Whether people like it or not, they will remember it because of the color!

Thanks for checking out the site!

Looks Good!! We need to mix it up a bit in this industry, and level it out with some more Female Owner/Operators. Good luck to you in your business venture!

you are off to a good start. The colors would not be my first choice but you are correct in thinking your branding should be consistent. Also, marketing studies show that women control the family finances, so your site may be very effective in targeting the decision maker in the family.

As you stated the resolution on the photo gallery page needs to be increased.

On the main page, i would try to be a bit more concise with the wording. studies show you have very little time to grab peoples attention. I found it to be a bit long (in my opinion)

All in all very nice.

Leanne,
The website looks great. It is eye catching for sure, there will be someone that will be sitting on that porch in nashville looking for an LCO,they will say,I remember a website that we looked at that had pink grass and was very different than the norm, lets look that site back up and give them a call.. Good luck with the opening of your season and may it be prosperous.

I'm sorry, I don't like it (just my opinion).

At first I thought I was redirected to a porn site (naturally I went immediately to the photo section).

I don't like the black background, it feels enclosed like a small room. The Pink grass looks like fire.

I really like your logo though.

I really like your logo but what is this "Gear" thing? Are you selling merchandise?

Well I guess I did ask for all opinions! Just kidding....I appreciate your input and understand your thoughts...I decided to stay true to my colors of black and pink to keep all the branding of my company consistent. I have a black truck with black and pink magnetic signs, black and pink business cards, etc. My t-shirts that I work in are white with pink and black letter (out of sheer necessity not to pass out in the heat!). I know it is probably over kill for some, but I like consistency. For the "Gear" section, in the future there will be merchandise available for sell similar to a clothing line, with custom t-shirts, sweatbands, etc. Atypical from the ordinary path a LCO takes, but I have always gone about things my own way....I have already pre-sold the "SLC" women thong! Ha Ha!

I agree with have your advertisements (web, postcards, uniforms) look similar; we do the same. Everything from our business cards to our website have the same theme along with tagline.

As far as your website goes, I think most people believe your contrast of pink and black are a little blinding and extreme at first. I would look into have something else, maybe some pics of your work, between your logo & buttons and the pink grass. Something that ďsoftensĒ the transition to the main portion of your site; because, once you get through the top part of your site the black and pink isnít so bad. Maybe, you donít need the full page of pink grass from left to right. My 2 cents

You are right in your thoughts....The website is a work in progress, and I hope to add some java script in the near future and various pics to break up the pink and black. Thanks for checking it out!
