My issue with bagged mulch stems mostly from the material quality. You look at the bulk material and it's pretty uniform in size and texture. Look at the stuff from the bags, you can have big chunks of who knows what in there. Also the stuff from the bags doesn't weather as well.

that stinks that bagged mulch cost so much. here in FL it is only a couple of dollars more per yard for the bagged stuff.

Buying in bulk and shoveling and wheelbarrowing is for the birds.
