Been running Amsoil 10w-30 synthetic in my CV23S Kohler Command. I changed to synthetic after 200 hrs. (that was what Kohler rep. recommended) to be sure engine was completely broke in. After changing to synthetic I'm getting more run time out of a tank of fuel & the FAMOUS Kohler lifter noise is GONE!!! ED

You should contact engine manufacture to find out how many hours to wait for break in of motor, then change to synthetic oil. You will notice the difference quickly, in lower operating temps, and fuel consumption, They also seem to have more power . I have a kawasaki 17 hp, and a kawasaki 23 hp air cooled motors. I use Mobil 1 full synthetic oil.
