When to start mowing?

I'm new to the business living in Kansas City and was just wondering when you guys in the midwest states start mowing each year and when you finish up?

I am new to this industry also, but I know that every year I usually start mowing in April through September. I think I mowed a couple times after September last year.

i think generally you can start mowing when the leaves start growing on trees and then stop around or a little after when the leaves start to fall off

i know in jersey i started in april and ended about mid october

Its really up to mother nature sometimes we start mowing at the end of March if it starts warming up but most of the time we start around the first week of April and mow as late as the end of November. We do are final cut with fall cleanups.

Last year I started about the 2nd week of April and ended the last week of October. But October in Wisconsin last year was warmer than normal.

In South Dakota it can start between middle of April and first of May. It depends on the weather.
