Spring Clean-Up
I'm reletively new to the industry and had a question about one of my spring clean-ups....
Is there a half-way cheap way to pick up leaves other than the old fashioned rake and bag method.... I know this question has probably came up in a previous thread but I did a search and came back with nothing relevent.... Thanks Guys!!!! |

well, that just sucks. your gonna be doing a lot of bagging if you dont have a truck to use. do you have any friends or relatives with a truck?

is there a place where you can dump the leaves? landfill or someones wooded backyard? if you have a place to dump them, just get yourself a tarp and start loading them into the bed of the truck, you'll be amazed at how much you can fit back there, just keep packing them down.

put a tarp on the bed of the truck first, then pile the leaves on top. it makes unloading a lot easier once you get it light enough.

The hard part is that all the leaves are in a high-end HUGE backyard....
I managed today to get them into about 13 piles.... How do I get the leaves out the gate into the bed of my truck... Thanks for the great advice...I will definatly do this if i can figure out an easier way to get the leaves to my truck without driving on the grass... |

pull the tarp over the grass. unless you want to carry 1 garbage can out at a time. that would be the easiest way with the equipment you have. i wouldnt suggest driving on the lawn just get the truck as close as you can to the gate and drag. it would also be a lot easier if you had someone else to lift the tarp into the truck with you. are you charging these people by the hour or just a set rate for the clean-up?
