Sod Installation. Need help!

Hi guys!

We are doing our first sod installation in years. Before I installed sod around sandtraps and ground-under-repair while I worked on a golf course while in school in addition to installing in yards without sprinklers.

How do you cut out the holes in the sod for the sprinkler head to come through? What type of knife is the best for cutting the sod when you need to trim it?

Razor knifes and plenty of them. I usually buy the 'throw aways' with the snap edges.

I use a sod knife for small areas and a stick edger for long curves.
