Solution for wet grass HELP

I have been mowing for about 12 years now and have been mowing the past 5 years for myself. In maine the grass is always very wet i am looking for some advice on mower blades i find every thing i try it still clumps up and builds up in my deck. Is there any hope out there? Please help it gets frustrating sometimes you try so hard to make it look nice and it comes out looking like crap.

Ill be the first to suggest Fluid Film under your deck. I use it and for the most part it keeps the grass from sticking...but its not a miracle worker. If the grass is clumping on the lawn just go over it with your blower. If your bagging and its getting caught up in the chute then I wish I had the solution because I would be a rich man.

One thing that helps me is I usually get started as late as I can, with about an hour of daylight to spare in case of bs, I usually start my first lawn no earlier than 10am and just work until 6 or 7p then head home.
Kinda sux not getting home by 3p but it really helps relieve the morning dew frustration.

If you're up way early and feel antsy about getting a move on, I find one thing that helps is to schedule maintenance for first thing in the morning (vs. the evening), also going out and giving estimates in my car is good to do in the wee hours.

you beat me to it! i was about to suggest to get some Fluid Film and spray it on the underside of the deck! the only other thing that works for me is to,raise the mower up after we cut it the 1st time. and just run over the lawn with it raised. works like the blower but goes a bit quicker.

what kind of mower do you have?

I have a Toro Proline 44" that works great and a toro z master 52" both work excelent when the grass is on the dryer side.

How often do you guys have to apply the Fluid Film.

I would try mulching blades if you haven't already. My suggetion would be try out a exmark when its wet.I had a scag until i used the exmarks now I wouldn't buy anything else. Not saying they are better machines but for the same problem you are having.

double cut is the only way i have found to alleviate the clumping of dewey/wet grass.. go over it a 2nd time witht he deck up..like stated earlier in the post wait till as late as possible to cut saves lots of time...

Just wondering how much you charge. I personaly charge more for wet/multiple cuts wouldn't make any money wasting time if i didn't
