Looking for feedback on new website still under construction

We are in the process of creating a new web site (still working on details) and we are looking for some honest feedback. Keep in mind the pictures in the portfolio are going to be changed as the web designer just picked some off the cd i gave him. What do you guys think about the backdrops behind the titles of the different pages?? Do you guys think i should have pic's on other pages, besides the portfolio?? Thanks.

looks good and professional. you might want to change the color of the text in your logo so it pops out on that background.

I'd take the fine print off the logo in the header - which is not legible - and shift the large remaining part of the logo downward a bit to get it off the top edge.

The rest looks good, but seems slightly too sterile - I can't put my finger on it. Can you put a thumnail size picture of yourself, in the text field?

Or a an association or certification logo - small.

Even on the other pages - some small detail of interest down where the text is.

As it sits, I think it looks professional. You probably know that the service page is missing some horizontal image.

I like the way the gallery functions. In fact, I may try something like that myself on my site. The way the mouse moves over the images.

But the main thing that jumps out at me - maybe just me - is that the descriptive part of your logo on the home page is not legible, and those words are not bolded or written large on the home page. And I think if you do sprinklers, you want someone to see that, even before they go to your services page.

(and maybe a small photo of you on the home page - it's the priemier part of the whole site - every other page can be okay, but the home page needs to have something of interest.

I actually liked the header images on a couple of your other pages, even more than the water and log on the home page.

But that's just me.

Has a nice clean look to it. I would put a forum in the contact page. Make real simple to generate a lead.

I know of a certain web host who has an easy forum generator script.

grandview, got it thanks!
seaox, i thought about that, but that is the colors of the logo, sure hate to change it, would rather change the pic in the background if i have to, but thanks for the input.
mdvade, yes i know their is some text missing, supposed to be rainbird logo. Thanks for the other input, that is why i was asking about pic's on the other pages, seemed like it needed something else to break it up a bit.
Thanks for all your input, stay tuned as we will be making changes daily. THanks again.
