Walker Mowers....Really That Good??

My customers are used to my team and I using Toro Proline Self Propelled mowers with baggers on their lawns. Even on the 3rd speed I find that it takes way too long to cut 5000-7500sq.ft. lawns. I'm looking at a Walker with a 48" deck and a 7 bushell collector and was wondering if any of you guys have any experience with them. I know that this machine will cut my time but will it give a nice clean cut like my Toro's? Thanks for any info you guys can provide.

I won't even lie, my Walker has the cleanest cut out there. Thats one thing you don't have to worry about. I have a Walker MTGHS 26hp EFI. Any questions just PM me. You can also do a search and find a lot of info.

Walker is the best ZTR bagging mower out there. I have a 2006 MTGHS 26EFI with the 42" deck. I doubled my business last year because it is so much quicker. The price is high but well worth it. I would not by anything but the EFI now that I have it. I only got it because the dealer made me a deal but now I will pay the extra to have it. It burns much less fuel then the carbureted. Also go with the 9 bushel basket and the deck size is a mater of what size gates you have to go through.

I love mine, however I am sick of collecting grass no place to dump clippings, I just bought a 48" SD deck and so far it works ok, need to see how it cuts the green stuff. They do have the best cut, I just got the new Exmark DVD and watched the Navigator, it has a plate that looks like a V in front of the chute which makes it a mulching deck, interesting concept, I wonder how it works?

Mine is 11 years old now and still mowing. I have added some of the upgrades and have tried to retire it in favor of my newer ztr's because they are faster and I don't have to mess with clippings. But this time of year when the oak trees are dumping the last of their leaves on the new spring growth, the walker comes back out. 2 days ago I got chewed out because I tried to get by with chopping them up with Scag tiger cub. I went back over the yard 3 times and She could still see the brown leaf particles on the lush green grass and said it looked awful. The Walker would have cleaned it up in one pass.

Wow guys, thanks for the experiences! You've really helped me make my decision. The reason I need a 48" is because I need to get in to the backyards that have gates. My dealer is going to let me use a demo model he has for a week and I'll compare it to the Toro Z Master I just bought off my dad. But judging from what everyone is saying I think that I'll keep the Walker for the residential homes and the Toro for my commercial buildings and the big Walmart property. Thanks again!

Good mower. Many have them and love them. Many have them and don't.

They are finally listening to some of their users and upgrading things now that Exmark has given them some competition.

I too urge you to look at the Exmark Navigator. Check my signature.
