Redmax trimmer cold natured?

I just bought a brand new Redmax BCZ3000S line trimmer and that thing is hard to start. I was running a Stihl FS100R trimmer and choke once and guarentee second crank starts. My Redmax 7001 blower starts second crank like the Stihl trimmer. Anyone else had this trouble with Redmax trimmers?

My dad works on all of my equipment and has for years. He has always told me on all two stroke motors, when you are done with it run the motor wide open under no load for about 30 seconds to a minute and kill it running wide open. I have done this on all of my trimmers, blowers, etc. and they all seem to start and run better. I'm still on the first spark plugs on all of my trimmers and they are 3 yrs old (Echo). Try it and see if it helps.
