MD, you seem to be my go to guy thanks for all your help. Unfortunately I dont know code so this may take a while. Is there a way to do it in design view?

Haven't you ever chose the "split" option that puts the code above the design at the same time?

I always keep both open split so I can see the changes. It shows me more and helps me learn what's going on.

Anyhow, I tried that in design view too and it worked. Highlighted a word, went above to "Insert" and picked hyperlink. Chose "blank" and entered the web address. It automatically made the word into a hyperlink. And in design view, too.

I understand how to make an image or text into a hyperlink but cant figure out how to make it open in a new browser window. I want to set it up so mine is always open and the link opens the new page, then viewer has to come back to my site after viewing the link I provided.

If you followed the steps I mentioned, it should open a new window.

If you highlight the word, go to Insert, and choose "blank" along with filling the address, it should automatically put target="_blank" into the link. That's what the "blank" is referring too. Target = blank, as in a blank new window.

Unless you are doing it a different way.

Does your menu above say "Insert" anywhere?

After clicking "Insert", click next on "Hyperlink" and this here should be available - click the down arrow to open the options like parent, blank, etc..
