Exmark ZTR

ok guys I have decited on an Exmark

it's a ton of money but I have enould customers to support it. " I'm kind of new "

what I'm looking at is the 56" Lazerz hp one fo them has the 23 hp KAWASAKI and the other one offered has the 27 hp Kohler....

what do you guys think is better. I sometimes mow firlds up to 4 acres. and yes sometimes it pretty tall, weeds seem to be realy tough to cut

I have decited to go with the Exmark for 2 reasons

forst is I have 2 dealers close by and the other is that the blade speed is 18500 FPM

Dont even talk to people who cant purchase your product or service.........Dave Thomas.

Go with the bigger motor. If you're going to run a mulch kit the 27HP is a must.

if your going with a new mower, I would go with the 60 inch deck. Especially for a 4 acre job, it would increase the time to cut, and it isnt much more out here. We just got one a couple weeks ago and caught a pretty good deal at an open house. It turned out to be maybe $200 more for a 60inch with 25hp.

Same machine I'm looking to demo! I'd prefer the 56" because it's a not too big, not too small kinda size... 60", to me, is too big for many of my lawns, but 50" is what I have now and I'm looking for a little larger + the faster cleaner cut. so the 56" is a win-win idea for me.

if you were side discharging only, 23 would be fine, but if you want to mulch or bag, better step up to the 27. Are you considering the catcher?

27hp all the way. Spend the extra money. You will thank yourself while mowing that 4 acre field. Good luck

I just cancelled my Exmark! It was a 50" Lazer HP with a 27hp Kholer and it was $8250.00 + tax and the Trac Vac was used for $1200.00. The dealer took too long to get it in. I ended up going with a Gravely 152M with a 23 Kawi. He had it in stock and it was 1k lower! AND CAST IRON SPINDLES! It also came with a suspension seat for $6997.00 and the bagger was $1700.00. IMO I'm finding out Exmark's are way over rated. But if your still getting the Exmark then spend the extra 400 bucks and get the 27hp Kholer.

Get the 27hp one, if you dont get it now, you will wish you did later. I had a 21 hp Kawa on a 48 Lazer Hp and it did pretty good, but from time to time I did catch myself reaching for the throttle making sure It was at full tilt.

23hp with the 56 deck is not going to be enough. LIke it was mentioned above, if you ONLY side discharge you should be able to get by. YOu can never have too much hp.....

I would only go with the 23 hp on the 46" or 50" deck. Any larger and go with the larger engine.

However, is that 4 acre field the only field you mow? If so, I would go with the 50" and the 23 hp motor for fuel economy and besides, the 23 kawi is just one sweet engine! IT would all depend on the size of the majority of properties you mow. If 95% (or more) are 1/2 acre or less, get the 50" simply because the kawasaki is a better engine IMHO.

For the 56", go with the 27 hp.
