PJ - Blade Question

Hello PJ..

First off I need to tell you (and Hustler) that I love my 25/52 Super Z. Although its my 1st commercial mower so I have nothing to compare it to. But I can say that it has done almost everything I have asked it to do and did it very well. out here in Kansas there is a lot of tough cutting. As long as I keep the blades sharp all is well.

My question is about the standard blades for this unit. what kind of blades are they (mulching, side discharge, bagging) and what are they designed to do. I( don't do any mulching, Its all bagging and side discharge.

I've been wanting to maybe try an after market blade like fusion or ?? - any recommendations for my application?

Also, what is the life span of the standard blade? how many time can you sharpen? when is it time to replace a blade?

I have to older deck and will opening up the deck improve performance much?

This year I'll be bagging a lot and want to keep my speed up and yard looking good........

Thanks
Frank

Life span on a blade has to many things to factor in, it would range widely from user to user and regions.
I just emailed you the information you need to open up your discharge chute and install the Fusion blades, I think you will be all set once this is done.
