Honda HR214 Bogs down??
I have a Honda HR214, and it has started to bog down alot while mowing. I would expect this if the grass was too high, but I try to cut it atleast once a week....any ideas what could be causing this??
Thanks

sharpen your blade, the mower doesn't have to work as hard

Try replacing your air filter first and don't overfill crankcase with oil. Honda riders are generally a little down on power anyway. You may have an idler problem as well.

Maybe the governor linkage is bent or out of adjustment. There may be some chaff around the linkage also. Just another thing to check. Good luck.

The blade break clutch bearing could be rusted so its working against its self. I have run into this frequently on Toro's also.
