Lawn stripes

I was wondering when ever i drive by big buildings and such a see stripes on the lawn , how does that happen, and how do you do it?

Most mowers leave some semblance of a stripe. Granted some are better than others. Most commercial mowers will leave a nice defined stripe in good turf. A striping kit can also make the stripes more even and defined.
