Exmark ultra-cut digs in on one side

I have a 60" exmark ultra cut deck on a Lazer Z liquid cooled ZTR. The deck is cutting sort of weak on 3/4 of the deck and then on the far left side (opposite of the chute) it is cutting about an inch low. It is a very defined area that is cutting low and it makes our lawns look like crap.

I pulled the blades off and they all look fine, tire pressure is all equal, when I measure the deck on our cement pad it is perfectly level.

The problem is usually only noticeable when we are mowing at 4" in deep and thick grass. But when it is noticeable it is REALLY noticeable!

Has anyone had this kind of problem before? I really need help on this one because I can't figure it out for the life of me!

Thanks

How are the belts? Is there a blade bent? Was the left blade installed up side down?

The blade are not upside down, they are new blade, but then again this problem kinda started around the time I got the new blades (they are not warped though.

The problem did just start out of the blue. Worked great then it didn't.

I am sick call backs on the issue!

I bet the blade is bent. Try swapping it to another spindle and see what it does..Go and buy 1 new blade and see if fixes the problem..

Either bent blade, or bent deck.

Bent blade...easy to diagnose.

Bent deck....a little tougher, but still not that hard.

I have a 60 too ,,, Check the hub bearings ,take the deck belt off or just loosen and try to tilt or wobble the left and center blades .If smooth rotation and no vertical movement , check again for a bent blade ..I had this last year ,,,best way is to secure the deck up so you can see under ,with belt loose rotate blades to see if tips match up as you rotate ,both ends . Make sure one doesn't have more twist then others.
Go thru the deck leveling process as manual shows .
Check the deck for thick stuck and or dried grass .
Check the rear pivot arms ,,ones that fasten rear deck to frame for excessive
movement.
Good sharp oem or ,oregon blades ,,and some others
will go a long way for deep grass ..
Hope You find the problem let us alll know when you do !

Also cutting that high in tough grass can be difficult ,, You loose a lot of vacuum , Try , just to see if it helps ..lower setting say 3" and going slower .

Well...there are ways to do it, but if it IS that bent up, your better off getting a new deck shell or a used one that isn't bent. You would DEFINATELY know if you bent a deck. You will have hit something VERY hard.

You mention that your blades are newer, and that this may have started after you got these blades. Are you using new eXmark excalibur notched foil blades? There are a few brands available aftermarket that are decent, but I found that factory eXmark blades are about the best there are.

You could have a incorrect set of blades on there. This would really affect your QOC. More so than many think.

Do what turfeater said to determine if it's your blades or your deck. Belts off is a good way to check a bunch of things.

Let us know if you need any other info.
