Pricing of jobs

Give me some rough estimates on the following jobs - time & pay for each.

Average 2 car driveway?

ranch style home alone

split level home alone

Commercial property/gas station (has eight gas pumps on it)

Charge by the hour or flat rate for each?

Commercial property/gas station (has eight gas pumps on it) need more info, if you don't understand the CWA (clean water act), stay away from that one.

Charge by the hour or flat rate for each? If by the hour, minimum $100/hr. Better to price by the job and to sell based on what the value to consumer is. If you're not making $100+/hr in biz, then heading for poor house.

What is an average 2 car driveway? .. I can guess the width but what's the length .. 20', 40', 60' ..?

Im starting to bid on commercial properties and have been pretty successful in getting about 6 smaller properties. I have been asked to put a bid on a new apartment complex going up with 22,750 yrds of sod being put on. How would I go about pricing a large job like that just mowing and edging and blowing? Do I do it per sq ft of per hour? I really need help with this one and any advice would be appreciated. Cheers, christopher.
