What combination are you using? I have been trying doubles out because the fusions just don't work well. Also the Gators don't work alone on the Hustler. I have tried Gators on the bottom and fusions on the top and Gators on the bottom and Hi Lift splits on the top. So far the fusions and Gators work best. Next, I was going to try the Fusions on the bottom and the Gators on top. I also have the teeth sharpened on the Gators. This has always worked best in the past. After that I have a set of Mamba blades which are similar to Gators but the teeth are much larger and higher.

The neutral adjustment is the adjustment used for tracking. If you get it set right at neutral, it will track straight. My "fast" side would slowly spin with the wheels off the ground, and when I adjusted it to stop the tracking was fixed.

Cranesrule

I simply can only think of changing the muffler, PTO switch, and the starter. Everything else is original including tires. I have went through 4 sets of blades(I like to keep them very sharp)As far as cut I use mine for my business and would HIGHLY recommend the highlifts from Hustler that mower consultant had posted right here.

PJ - thank you, I would appreciate it. I assume the part number is in the lower left hand corner of the first page? If so, it's 365270 Rev. 9/03.

Or is cranes rule correct about the neutral adjustment being what I need to do?

cybervision - I have the stock blades on the bottom, and the gators on top.

E-mail me and I will e-mail you a manual with it in it.
He is correct about the neutral adjustment, it is all done with the same linkage.

Well...I've posted quite a bit about my machine recently, along with pics, but I'll post in this thread as well.

I have a 2007 FasTrak with a 48-inch deck and a 19-hp Kawasaki.

I cannot say enough good things about the mower. I only have 2.2 hours on it so far, but I absolutely love it. It cut my time WAY down, it is built like a tank, the steering is smooth and responsive, the cut is fabulous -- looks like it was done by the pros, and it is a blast to use.

I really like the upgrades on the 2007 model, especially the rubber side shoot. The Kawasaki engine is smooth and has loads of torque. And I highly recommend having the hour-meter installed. It is pre-wired for it in the control panel.

Looking to buy and need input,

Looking at a FasTrak with a 54" deck and a 21 hp kaw. Any feedback, positive or negative would be great and what thoughts on pricing. Thanks in advance.

My 2007 FasTrak

Got my FasTrak in May, with a 20hp Honda 54inch cut and I love it. It cut my mowing time from 5hr to 2hr. This is the best mower I have ever had.

New owner

I've had my 20/54 for a week and have thoroughly enjoyed putting it through its paces. My one and a half acre back yard is evenly mowed in under an hour, the flex forks have taken the jolting out of the lumps and bumps.

Mowing the challenging front yard, with its slopes and trees and gardens, feels like a walk in the park and ends all to soon. Happily, I can mow it again in a couple days.

I do need to perfect my turning..... trimming close to the trees results in scalping by the rear wheels. At least that puts an end to the grass growing close to the trees!

Getting the proper setup for cleaning the deck is a little challenging, I guess the thought of lying under the upraised machine is a little off-putting. But, I think I have it figured out, so removing blades for sharpening shouldn't be a problem.

All in all, I couldn't be happier. Now, I'm off the mow the back yard.
