A weed is simply an unwanted plant. A weed is a plant that was not intentionally planted in our turf or landscape.

Its whatever the fad is that tells us what plants shouldn't exist in our little environment because the neighbors will talk bad about us.

A weed is any plant growing in a place it is not wanted:

A dandelion is not a weed in the garden when grown for salad greens, but it is commonly considered a weed in the front lawn.

An oak tree would probably be a weed in the middle of an corn field, unless the farmer wants some shade to relax under.

Therefore only the owner of the property in question can define the WEEDS on his land.
