Fescue in full sun

I have a 10 lb. bag of fescue blended seed from a previous job. its 34% with the rest creeping red fescue and other fescues. I want to know if I can use it for overseeding in full sun areas. how does fescue perform in a full sun environment?

Is is a bad idea to use anything other than rye in full sun.

I'm in portland, or.

thanks

While fine fescues become the dominant grass in the shade, moisture and heat conditions of the site will be bigger factors in the success of the seed. If it is dry and hot the fescue will eventually die. If moisture and heat aren't a problem the grass will do okay, but Kentucky Bluegrass would do much better.
