Given the coping and the sharpness of the turn.......this is the result. The client was s stickler on curving and following the exact shape of the pool as much as possible. If we cut it down we'd lose as much as 3" on our width. The coping is not blue stone either. It's much harder, like a quartzite. Take a tool to it and it chips/splinters and it flat out ugly. This does not allow us to do anything with the inner bull nose that we had manufactured...................otherwise, I agree.

In another case, we would have used blue stone but this coping saved us a cost of over $600. Their budget is tight as they are paying for two patios and getting one. We actually went over budget a good amount but they still elected to have us do the work after meeting with eight (geeze) contractors. These folks have been through a bit with this patio. Once it's all said and done though, I don't really think it will be that noticeable.

Oceana? I went there last year too haha. We drive down, get there at 2am and grab a hotel. Wake up its windy, cloudy and raining. We eat at IHOP, go by the show anyway and then leave.

You going Saturday? Don't be scared, but they're loud.

That turn is definitely correctable.

I have a saying: "don't believe everything you think".

We had the same corner on a pool in 2007.

Gotta believe in yourself.

Yeah, oceana. That was the 1st time in my life an event got weathered out. It was cold and dreary. Although my sister lives in VA Beach so it wasnt a complete waste.

I'm still deciding about Sat. May take the kid.

Can't make a concave curve with a bull nose. Making the cut will eliminate the bull nose like a flat spot on a shopping cart wheel.

Yeah, it was back on December 11, 2009 and I just got it fixed haha. It was running, hit me in the side and rolled down the bed. At night, never saw it just a sudden impact......that'll get your attention!

The A-10 demo was pretty good. He didn't do any hard maneuvers until the end though.
